Standard (4mm) - sometimes termed float glass. Normal window glass.
Toughened - (available in various thicknesses) this is a safety glass and can be used in critical locations eg doors and shelves etc. A thermal processed glass. Complies to EN12150:2
Laminate - (available in various thicknesses) this is a safety glass and can be used in critical locations eg doors and shop fronts etc. Holds together when shattered, a layer of plastic (PVB) between two sheets of glass. Complies to EN 14449.
Georgian Wire Cast - fire resistant glass, with a welded steel mesh incorporated within the body of the glass. This is the obscure version of this product.
Georgian Polished Plate - fire resistant glass, with a welded steel mesh incorporated within the body of the glass. This is the clear version of the product.
Planibel A (4mm) - this is a highly energy efficient glass that is suited to high performance domestic windows.
Toughened Planibel A (4mm) - the toughened safety glass (Complies to EN12150:2) version of a highly energy efficient glass that is suited to high performance domestic windows.
Radius - a radius corner is a rounded corner on a square or rectangular glass table top, cover or mirror have been cut with a specific radius to form a curved outer edge instead of a sharp angle these can then be polished. The measurement of the radius is taken from where the sharp corner of the glass would be to the beginning of the curve from the straight edge on both sides.
